Mount Vernon Christian School
Auction For 2004
5 PM Saturday, March 13, 2004

5 PM Saturday, March 13, 2004

Welcome to the Mount Vernon Christian School 2004 Auction Website. Here you can find out how to help Mount Vernon Christian School have it's best auction ever! We're looking for both donations of time and auction items - everything is appreciated.

What is the MVCS Auction?

What is the MVCS Auction? The auction is a combination of several silent auctions of smaller items held over the course of several hours followed by a wonderful dinner and dessert served by the 12th grade students of Mount Vernon Christian. The evening ends with an exciting "live" auction where the larger donated items are auctioned off.

Who Does It Benefit?

The auction helps raise money to keep Mount Vernon Christian School providing quality Christian education for children in the greater Skagit County area. It helps keep tuition low as well as helps maintain the school buildings and grounds. Last year the auction raised over $50,000 and that was a tremendous help for this year.

Why is the "Roaring 20's" This Year's Theme?

This year the theme of the auction is the "Roaring 20's" - a time of wonderful growth and excitement throughout the United States. A time when people were excited about the future, and a time when people were finding ways to heal from the horrors of the first world war. It was also a time when many people turned to Christianity to help them heal and to celebrate being alive. The celebration of life and of God's gift of healing is what this auction's theme is all about.

How Can I Help?

How can you help? The answer's easy - just check out the list below to find an area where you think you can give us a hand! We need help with everything from decorating to item procurement. Whether you have something to donate, be it time or auction items, everything is greatly appreciated.

For those companies and individuals interested in donating auction items (everything is welcome), you'll receive recognition in the form of a wonderful advertisement in our Auction Catalog which can help you expand your market to the many people that visit our auction each year - last year we had over 500 people come through the auction! You'll also be listed on the Auction Website complete with a link to your company's website, and all for a tax-deductable donation that will help improve the Christian lives of children in the area. We've welcomed donations from companies all over the Northwest, so you don't necessarily have to have a business in the Skagit County area to help out and to benefit from this chance to expand your business.

How Can I Attend? Sold Out - Waiting List Available as of March 12, 2004.

We invite MVCS parents to come, as well as community members. The auction begins at 5PM on Saturday, March 13, 2004 with the silent auction. The cost is $12.50 per person for a wonderful dinner and dessert. Quite often individuals or couples purchase an entire table and fill it with guests from within and outside of our school family. Children usually do not attend this event. Invitations have been sent to MVCS famiilies and we encourage you, if you plan to attend, to make your reservations early. We had a very full house last year and we are limited to how many we can comfortably seat in our gym.
